Game Time

Su Lin coughed a short burst of blue tinted spittle, matching the color of
the fluid Alec had vomited on the floor in front of his tube. Her eyes were
deep red blood-shot and her color pale. She looked at Martin with a morbid
blue speckled grin before rolling her eyes back in her head and passing
out..

"Yes, sweetheart, breathing is a good thing. Keep it up." Martin
whispers. As he continues to check her vitals.

Martin, Sylvie and Rich all burst out in tears and laughter upon seeing this
and hugged her,
offering words of welcome back to this world. She had shallow breathing but
her airway was clear, and her heart rate was weak but steady.

Rich's chest heaved and he smiled weakly as he wiped the blue goo off of Su
Lin's chin with his finger. Feeling light headed from the bump on his head
he
slumps back against the next cryo tube and shakes his head slowly as he
stared
off into space.

Chet now on his knees rather than all fours offered thanks "Thank you God
for bring us
through, giving us more time with Su and taking Benny to your embrace. Amen"
Chet got up and helped Ray break himself away from Benny's tube.

"Those fuckers are gonna pay, dumb ass project bastards. They killed Benny
with this Mickey Mouse tube shit of there's" Alec said loudly as he
struggled with his Bug out kit, it's strap hung up on the tube.

"Alec, we all knew there where risks, Thankfully most of us are in
good shape." Martin says softly.

"Screw you Martian tell that to Benny, I didn't like his social skills any
better than you ,but
he was a God damn human for Christ sake" Alec responds splitting his
attention from his eyre for Martin and his trousers that are trying to trip
him.

Ray took count of his team, 7 up, 1 down, 1 casualty, and 1 in stasis.
Looking at the last tube. "Sylvie can we get them out" Ray asked not even
knowing the face of which he was referring. Sylvie snapped out of her
euphoria with Su and the others and approached the Green tube. Looking over
the monitor drawer, she shook her head. "We can't get her out Ray, It'll
take a MED team ID to activate the protocol, ours won't do it. MED or
regional. The tubes afraid we'll kill her bring her out." The feminine
descriptive coming from the conversations with John about the missing
contact person they had never met. It upset Sylvie a bit not being able to
associate a face with her feelings. "She just wasn't meant to make this
trip seems like" Sylvie snipped, "first she misses training now wake-up".

"Sylvie, I hate to interrupt, but, do you want me to watch Su while
you check out the rest or visa versa?" Martin asks. " We also should
check out the bio, chem,and rad load in here and outside A.S.A.P."

"Just let me double check myself here engineer, then we can get to it"

Alec finally getting his BOK free starts to dress. " I tell ya what I'm
going to do" pulling on his pants speaking to no one in particular, "I'm
climbing out of this fucking warren and I'm gonna find a phone and call good
ol' 1-888-PICKMEUPBITCH".

Chet had recovered his kit and had started dressing him self as he looked
at Ray with a thousand questions behind his eyes.

"Remember all, drink that great tasting stuff they left for us. "
Martian says as he grabs a vial and is hanging out watching Su, " Could
some one grab my stuff so I do not leave her till she is more stable?
Please." Martin asks.

"Ok people this is what we are going to do," said
Raymond. "First; Sylvia tell me if we can move the tube
or we buried it here and hope nothing touch it, second;
Martin I want you to stick with Su and make sure she's
stable. Do not move her until she's clear by Sylvia;

Martin nods, " Got it boss."

Third, I want Richard, Alec, and Chet to unpack and
double check our equipment; Fourth, Dennis I want you
to check around the bolt hole and make sure we have no
other surprises. I will look at the periscope and look
at the readings."
Looking at Richard's bump, "oh, get that bump check out
first Rich."

"Hey guys, if you find my stuff could you bring it here. I feel
naked with only a bolt kit, and I can't leave her. Thanks." Martin says.

"Hey Sylvie," Martin says, " Do we have an IV version
of the wake up goo, I think that would be best to get Su back on her
feet."

"Yeah Hun; It's in the corner in the Crash cart" she replies pointing to the
kit in the corner.

Martin proceeds to hook Su up to the IV. " She is still a little on the cold
side." Martin looks up, toward the fellas working on supplies. "Hey guys,
as well as looking for my gear can you find a sleeping bag or a blanket
and toss it my way."

Chet brings Martin Benny's Bug out kit, There's a space blanket and a
sweater in there, the sadness all but invisible on the big man. "I'll bring
little sister a real blanket after I pop the cork on the supply room." His
sad eyes motion Martins attention towards Sylvie as she silently quizzes
over the monitor drawer of the unopened tube and catches brief glances of Su
while she works. "The good lord blessed us with a good nurse Martin" he
says quietly as he slides towards the Cryo room door.

"Ok people lets earn our paychecks!" Raymond yells.

Rich hearing his name snaps back into reality. "Huh? Yeah sure boss. Don't
worry about my noggin, I'll be ok. Just a good bump." Rich rolls to his
knees and pulls himself up the tube. He heads for the lockers and starts
unpacking BDUs

DJ is just starting to get his wits about himself as Ray starts ticking off
order to the group.
"Now this is something I'm familiar with", DJ thinks. He hears his orders
and
immediately starts ticking off what he needs to do.

1. Check overall layout, check for any obvious structural, mechanical, or
electrical problems.

2. Examine stores for any leakage or breakage.

3. Check over all vehicles for any problems/abnormalities.

4. Close inspection of hatches, plumbing, and reactors.

5. Request authorization to break out assigned gear and check for problems,
then issue respective gear to individuals.

With the last item going through his head, DJ waits for a pause then asks
Ray.
"Sir, after inspecting the hole, I'd like to go through the stores and check
them. If nothing is wrong, do I have permission to issue gear to the
respective
individuals for their personal inspection?

After getting his answer DJ goes to work.

Ray retrieves his Project I.D. from his cryo tube after dressing and heads
towards the cryo room door.
