Which HMMWV do I have?

In the world of Twilight 2000 no vehicle is in such abundance as the HMMWV (High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle) yet the vehicle provided in the v1 Boxed set equip list, and U.S Army Vehicle guide is only adequate at best as an example of this remarkable vehicle.
Later in v2, v2.2 and then the American Combat Vehicle Handbook the description of the vehicle takes a turn for the worse and is quickly out classed by 5/4 ton Pick-ups and the M151 to name two. The list grows when you include the At-105 Saxon and FV-603 Saracen from the NATO Vehicle Guide and the UAZ-469 and the URL-375 from the Soviet Vehicle Guide then the Soviet Combat Vehicle Handbook adds the GAZ 46 to the list.
It is obvious that the vehicle is miss represented and here I wish to address it.

In the Europe of Twilight 2000 the HMMWV would probably be the most numerous of light vehicles in theater. Used for everything from Cargo, Security, Recon , Ambulance etc. the vehicle would be in abundance in the US pool of vehicles.
Once combat and normal attrition started taking it's toll of the many vehicle types present in Europe it would be the vehicles of commonality that would be kept in service via cannibalization. Unique vehicles would eventually be unserviceable due to a lack of spare parts and in some cases loss of specific kits such as calibration and fording It is for this reason that the HMMWV is in need of a redefining.

The HMMWV comes in over 12 different versions which vary in chassis and add-ons as vehicle attrition takes place that when it is decided which vehicle lives or dies it would be the vehicle with greater reliability and most upgrades.
