Components of a Field Hospital
A list of common components of a Field Hospital. Theres should be a few of these in the opening scenario.
Accommodation (tents, commandeered buildings etc. for officers and enlisted).
Field Hospital (triage, OR, prep, post-op, recovery, walkin area)
Basic lab to do blood analysis. Lab woork is limited due to lack of supplys, power, equipment repair (Elec 4+, Mach 4+), chemicals and steril enviroment.
Medical supply storage tent. (may include refrigeration units, this means power, which means fuel, which means stills.)
Stills (see above)
X-ray support vehicle (though plates would be R/R).
Morgue.
Mess Facilities.
Mess storage. This should include large stores of food but also water or a ready non-contaminated source of water or lots of boiling pots for sterilization.
Stores for non-medical, non-mess related supplies. (munitions, tools, oil, batteries, blankets etc.).
Motor pool (The vehicles can vary depending on size).
MP's - Jeeps with pintle mounted MG's (vehicles won't be used for cover probably so the weapons will be dismounted and the vehicles protected and possibly conceiled.)
Medical - Ambulances (includes wagons)
Infantry - Jeeps and other various troops transport and fighting vehicles. (working IFV would most likely be in a deployable reserve the less reliable or broken vehicles would be in prepared positions.)Disposal Area - Garbage Dump / Sewerage /Trash Fires (some medical waste is burned to avoid flys)
Dug in Positions - Depending upon the proximity to the front (MG pits, towers etc.) The greater the number of troops the greater the likelyhood of defences. It gives the men something too do.
Provision for Airlifts - Helo's (in T2K this isn't likely yet it could morph into a area for the terminally wounded, or for lightly wounded to stage for transfer.)
