With Battle casulties
becoming excessive some units were forced to equip with
non standard equipment in bulk. Thus the entry of the M96
into the US and Canadian units of North America.
Ironic that with the
weapons commercial name of Expeditionary™ the
weapon never saw regular service over seas.
