Updated! I'm back!(sort of)

I finally got around to doing some updating converting and cleaning.  I'm working on cleaning out dead links and adding new ones.  I was in the process of converting my page over to Netscape format when I by luck got a better option (Front Page).  Cleaning will involve getting rid of stuff that didn't work for me.  It should be transparent to you the visitor.  Then recently (today) I got some bad news from my host provider and email forwarder (the days of the FREE web have nearly passed).  It's not real bad but it will slow my update a bit, Sorry.  At any rate, I hope you enjoy the page and it's contents.

Hi,I'm Loonz, welcome to my pages. These pages are inspired by the game "Twilight 2000" which was produced from 1984-96 by GDW, which we all remember as a superb game designer. The rights of which used to be owned by "Tantalus Inc." which with some gracious provisions (see below disclaimer) had allowed comment on this material. See small print below for the short story about who owns the game now.

The game's characters are military survivors after a nuclear exchange and all it's after effects (disease, famine, civil unrest etc.) which have destroyed the infrastructure of nearly every industrialized nation. The characters must face the challenges of a world without rules or order.
There was a spin off of T2K called "MERC 2000" in a world of limited order. It was the back drop of numerous Mercenary jobs. Several more alternate worlds were planned but were never published (Planet Strike, Armor 21, Iron Dream etc.). I've been picking away at a Planet Strike story board, but not enough to post yet.

These pages have been continually changing and expanding. Focusing on uniting the current players, so as to maintain a core interest, and to provide new players some resources they may not know existed. To provide the old and the new ref's with varying SOURCES for imaginative assistance. To provide game aids and new equipment, vehicles and weapons so the existing rules grow with the times.

I have a RESELLERS page so we can find and recycle some of the limited materials that are out there. I've also provided a brief description of the Twilight 2000 products on the REVIEW page with cover scans provided by some nice people. If you have time take my POLL
I've rebuilt my collection from nearly scratch in the last few years. I still don't have a few books. As I get them I'll post them.
If you have a T2K site join the WEB RING.

I've posted my thoughts on HMMWV's and there use in T2K.I've posted my world famous "optional" Hit Location Chart and a character sheet zip file.
I've added some documents I found online that might be useful to a newbie that's not ground pounder on the mystuff page. I've also started a Naval/maritime Primer for those of you with a limited knowledge of ships and the sea.

Some new sites are going up and older ones are getting dusted off, and the forums and mailing list are churning out good dialogues, and things are happening. Come join in.

This is one of the few games that could get me to play a RPG and I hope it provides you with one "enth" the pleasure and aggravation it has caused me. Thanks for comin' by, and "please sign the guest book and use the announcer" it pads my ego and gives me cause to maintain this page better, thanks and "Keep your head down".

Newer Update:  It appears that Twilight 2000 may see a reprint next year.  Information is scarce but it looks promising.  If it doesn't happen then ebay is still your best bet.

NEW UPDATE:  It appears that sometime in 2002 there will be a reprint of the Twilight 2000 series.  Information is very limited as of now.  When I know something I'll pass it on.

OLD UPDATE: The holder of the copyright privileges to T2K and other GDW titles is ambiguous at present. Tantalus apparently sold part of their company to IGN another online game company. No one is sure if that included the GDW RPG's.
So it would be polite if you have a T2K site to put some sort of disclaimer on your site saying you don't take credit for the copyrighted works. Feel free to use this one, it came from the Tantalus legal site when it was up.
